Sixteen years as a teacher of acting and twenty-five years as a performer in theater, television and film have afforded Jennifer McCabe the opportunity to work with some of the most talented and respected artists in her industry.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in Speech Communications and Theater and a minor in Anthropology; a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the The Actors Studio Drama Program at The New School University.

As an actress, Jennifer has performed over sixty characters on the stage and screen. She has originated seven Off-Broadway roles with Jane Street Theatre, Cherry Lane Theatre, The Barrow Group Theatre Company, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Soho Repertory Theatre, Atlantic Theater Company and Theater at St. Clement’s, and has been seen in feature films (The PackThe ProjectionistStraight Forward) and on TV (Law and OrderSVUSex and the City, etc.).

Currently, Jennifer is a faculty member at Stonestreet Studios Screen Acting Workshop, the advanced conservatory on-camera training program through NYU’s Tisch Drama School. Her courses are: Directing the Actor and the Character Development Workshop. She also holds a faculty post at NYU Undergraduate School for Film and Television where she teaches Rehearsal Techniques and Performance Strategies. Jennifer has served as a faculty member at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, the MFA acting program at the New School For Drama and for the BFA Conservatory Theater and Film Program at SUNY Purchase.

Jennifer McCabe Studios is Jennifer’s private acting studio that operates in Hoboken, NJ and New York City and offers professional acting classes and coaching for stage and screen.

As a director and filmmaker, Jennifer has completed nine short films that are currently traveling the festival circuit.

Jennifer is also a Drama Teaching Artist and continues to teach and collaborate with dozens of Arts-in-Education organizations, including Enact, Inc. and the Guggenheim Museum.

As a skilled improviser, Jennifer serves as a role player and facilitator for corporate education organizations and Fortune 500 companies. A few of her affiliates include, Performance of a Lifetime, PwC and Impact Learning and Development.
